"Sounds good, lets go on a CRUISE"
Early Morning on day 2 the boat shakes so much as if our bed was a trampoline, we feel the boat stop, and the alarms sound. "Fire, in the engine room"
After figuring out that there was no way to fix the boat and get on our way, we realized we were in for a long few days.
No WATER, No electricity, No toilets NOTHING.....
Slowly they started towing us back to land. They slowly got the restrooms working.
Our cabin was one of the last to get their water and toilets back. It felt like camping on the high seas. Lots of warm diet coke, warm lettuce, warm ranch, and warm melon were available for us to eat. Lines up to 2 hours to get to the "food" . We went to bed early, played card games, read books, and survived some really cold showers. It reminded me of girls camp.
Every few hours the cruise ship staff lines the ten flights of stairs to get the supplies up to the kitchen. There was no electricity so no way to get all food and supplies up the stairs. Everyone seemed to keep a good sense of humor, I never heard any of the staff complain. They were troopers.

I really felt bad for those with kids. The pools were all covered, and very little for the kids to do.
The USS Ronald Reagan came to our aide to deliver supplies. I was very COOL to watch the planes take off. Twenty trips for this ship to ours. It was so close. Very amazing.
This was the trial run to see if they could actually drop the supplies successfully.
There was on tug boat to come to our aide. The Chihuahua was the lone tugboat to pull us in until the last day.

We did have a visitor. This poor bird got stuck in our room and could not get out. It flew around trying so hard to get out. It finally did.
As they pulled us in to San Diego tugboats surrounded the ship. With no power they had to coordinate and work hard to inch us in safely.
The Coast Guard followed us the whole way to make sure we were safe. THANKS POPS!

Finally we are leaving the ship. After nearly 5 days we were on land.
They got us a room in San Diego and few us home the next day. It was good to get a WARM shower, some ice in our drinks, and light whenever we wanted.
It was an adventure for sure. Will we do it AGAIN?
Yes of course. How could we say NO to FREE!!
